Compostable Shipping Packaging

 

Sustainability is a core pillar at Organic Guidance and we wanted to make it easier for you to live sustainably so we partnered with Hero Packaging to ship all our products in 100% compostable bubble mailers. These are made from home-compostable materials, mainly corn starch and PBAT (a compostable ingredient which bonds the renewable ingredients together).  

These will completely break down within 90-120 days in a home-compostable environment and about 2 years to break down in landfills. In contrast, traditional plastic shipping mailers take 400 years or more to break down and still release deadly methane gas into the atmosphere. They can also be sent to composting facilities to be properly broken down and composted.
